This Weekend Is the Cambridge Dumpling Festival!
September 18, 2019 |
If you’re into culinary history, you may already know the name Joyce Chen. She’s lauded as the person who introduced the U.S. to authentic northern Chinese fare—not to mention the flat-bottomed wok (which she invented) and bottled Chinese stir-fry sauces. So it makes total sense that the Cambridge Dumpling Festival would be held in her honor.
After all, without her influence, the 15 participating Cambridge eateries and food trucks might have never existed. On Sunday, September 22nd, chefs from these spots will dish out their unique varieties of dumplings. Taste-test a few different types and wash them down with suds from the Notch Brewing Biergarten. Then you can explore the 50 local vendors selling everything from antiques and vintage items to original works of art. General admission is $5.
