Share Creative Thai Tapas at Mae Asian Eatery
February 21, 2019 |
Chef Yuri Asawasittikit learned how to craft traditional Thai, Vietnamese, and Chinese dishes from her mother, or her “mae” in the Thai language. So when Chef Yuri opened Mae Asian Eatery in December, the name seemed only fitting, given that she uses her mother’s recipes in the kitchen. However, Yuri and her team add creative, contemporary twists to the dishes.
Grab your food to go or sit down and enjoy a meal at the newly minted restaurant. Share a few of the small plates, like the steamed edamame seasoned with garlic, salt, and Thai chili and the fried dough stuffed with green chives and drizzled with mirin soy sauce. Then enjoy a noodle or rice bowl, an entree, or a specialty curry. Try the slightly spicy cashew gai krab, which features crispy chicken dressed in roasted chili oil and tossed with cashew nuts, onions, pineapples, dried chili, bell peppers, scallions, and mushrooms.
