Now Open Near Fuse Cambridge: Gustazo, a Cuban Restaurant
August 12, 2019 |
“Treat yourself” is not only the official tagline of Cambridge’s new Cuban eatery, Gustazo. It’s also in the name. The Spanish phrase “darse un gustazo” roughly translates to “treat yourself.” With a list of contemporary and classic Cuban tapas and creative artisan cocktails to match, it’s certainly easy to follow this command at Gustazo.
The dinner menu is mostly composed of vegetarian and non-vegetarian small plates that are designed to share, so bring along a date or a few dining companions to taste-test several of them. Pick a few plant-based dishes like the queso frito, featuring pan-seared queso fresco with caramelized carrots, asparagus, pine nuts, and honey, or the Spanish omelet with potatoes and caramelized onions. For the carnivores, the menu offers eats like pomegranate-pineapple ceviche with fresh seafood and oxtail tacos. Add a craft cocktail like the mango mojito or the Guava Blossom for the full Gustazo experience.
