Grab a Glass of Vino and a Bite at UpperWest Wine Bar
January 22, 2018 |
UpperWest Wine Bar is named for the small, friendly wine bars sprinkled all across the Upper West Side of New York City, which also served as the muse for owner Kim Courtney. She spent many years perfecting her culinary techniques at bars just like these. Kim brings what she's learned to this popular neighborhood wine bar, which is surprisingly tucked away in the back of a VFW — though locals say it only adds to the charm.
Come to UpperWest Wine Bar to enjoy a few small plates, which Kim will craft right before your eyes, and a glass of vino. UpperWest boasts about 20 varieties of wine sourced from around the world, plus a collection of craft beer and artisan cocktails. When it comes to the cuisine, Chef Kim mixes it up on a regular basis, but she always offers cheese and charcuterie boards. You might see small plates like duck liver pate, arugula salad, and prosciutto di Parma and fresh mozzarella on the menu, too.
