Newly opened in Watertown, Joyful Garden offers Hong Kong-style Cantonese food and is well-known for its variety of steamed, pan-fried, and deep-fried dim sum. Favorites include the Shrimp & Chive Dumpling, Steamed Egg Yolk Bun, and the wok-fried Turnip Cake. The menu also features a selection of Chef’s Specials, such as Salt & Pepper Calamari and Homestyle Stir-fried Vermicelli. During lunch hours, try one of the lunch specials, which come with fried rice and an appetizer with choices like Crab Rangoon, Beef Teriyaki, and Spring Rolls.
Locals claim this is the place to grab authentic dim sum without driving into Boston’s Chinatown, plus the location is very convenient and there is plentiful free parking.
