Devour Cajun Seafood at Bootleg Special
May 22, 2018 |
More than a pound of lobster. Half a pound each of shrimp, crawfish, mussels, and crabs. Hot corn on the cob, potatoes, and andouille sausage. These are the hearty ingredients that mingle in the namesake Cajun boil at Bootleg Special, a brand new eatery in Boston.
The restaurant features cuisine inspired by the comfort food of New Orleans, such as the Bootleg Special Boil. Eaters can also custom-tailor a seafood boil to their taste, starting with their choice of seafood. Just add a sauce sich as coconut-curry basil or spicy garlic-butter Bootleg sauce and extras like pasta or sausage, then dig into your boil. You can also devour a po'boy sandwich stuffed with fried catfish, oysters, or clams or share small plates such as Cajun fried rice or crawfish mac. Wash down your chosen dish with a signature Southern cocktail or a pint of craft beer.
